Baltia plans to start flight operations in the Fall of 2010 as the
only U.S. airline directly connecting two of the world’s
most prominent cities –
New York and St. Petersburg,
Russia.
Baltia’s non-stop flights from New York’s JFK
to St. Petersburg will take approximately 8 hours, as compared
to foreign airlines with European connecting flights that
take from 11 to 18 hours.
Only a U.S. airline (as well as a reciprocal Russian airline)
is entitled to fly non-stop between the United States and
St. Petersburg. “Third nation” airlines, such
as FinnAir, SAS, Lufthansa and British Airways, which are
currently serving the market, can only operate stop-over
connecting flights via their national airports.
Baltia’s service model also differs from “bargain,
no frills” air carriers such as JetBlue and Southwest
in another important way. In addition to providing exclusive
non-stop service, Baltia plans to provide exceptional quality
three-class cabin service – First Class, Business Class
and Voyager Class® (Baltia
Coach) – offering passengers the highest level of comfort
and amenities.
Baltia also plans to offer the most efficient and reliable
cargo and mail transport to and from the Baltic region. Several
major express shippers have already expressed interest in
utilizing virtually all of Baltia’s cargo capacity
under block space arrangements. |
